CREC‘s Railway and Port Project in Bengkulu, Indonesia, is located in the Pulau Baai of Bengkulu Province, southwest of Sumatra Island, Indonesia. It mainly handles the outward transport of the coal exploited from the diggings in South Sumatra Province and Bengkulu Province. The project is divided into two phases. Phase One: it is schemed to construct two 70000 DWT coal terminals, which can berth one 100000 DWT bulk cargo carrier and one 35000 DWT bulk cargo carrier at the same time; the design handling capacity of Phase One will reach to 20 Mtpa. Phase Two: one 70000 DWT coal terminal with design handling capacity of 40 Mtpa will be taken into the extended project. As for the stacking yards in the rear areas, the proportion of the stacking yards constructed in Phase One will be 270000 m² as well as the proportion of the stacking yards in Phase Two. The total construction investment of the recommending plan of this project will be 600 million U.S dollars.
