According to the requirements of the Atlantic-Pacific Channel Project(Brazil-Peru Railway Project Section), for the purpose of accomplishing the handling capacity of 3,673,000,000DWT, it is scheduled to construct 8 berths, including one 70,000DWT berth for bulk cargo carrier, three 100,000DWT berths for container carrier, two 70,000DWT berths for bulk grain carrier, one 50,000GT berth for RORO transportation of vessels, and one 40,000DWT berth break-bulk cargo. The length of shoreline that the project occupies is estimated to be 2,445m. Besides, the project comprises four work-boat berths, occupying 185m of the length of the shoreline. The total investment of the project is USD 44million.
